
Maron Khoury
Flutist
Flutist Maron Anis Khoury, born in Israel and raised in a musical family, entered the Curtis Institute of Music at age 14, studying under Jeffrey Khaner. At 20, he became the second flutist of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, one of the youngest musicians ever appointed to the ensemble.
An active orchestral, solo, and chamber performer, Khoury has appeared under leading conductors including James Levine, Riccardo Muti, Simon Rattle, Christoph Eschenbach, and Daniel Barenboim. He performs regularly in opera productions at the Met and in recital and concerto engagements across the United States and Europe.
Dedicated to music education, he has taught masterclasses internationally and participates in outreach programs supporting young musicians. Khoury performs on a Muramatsu Platinum flute and continues to expand his artistic work through collaborations and new projects.
